Indiana County saw a Republican sweep across the ballot during Tuesday’s election.
With all 69 Indiana County precincts reporting in, including mail-in and absentee ballots received, Former President Donald Trump took Indiana County with 29,111 votes over the 12,610 votes cast for Vice President Kamala Harris. In the US Senate Race, Dave McCormick received 27,793 votes in the county while Bob Casey received 13,089. Statewide, those races along with the Presidential race are too close to call.
For the three state row offices up for grabs, Dave Sunday took Indiana County with 27,975 votes over Eugene DePasquale’s 12,259 votes in the attorney general race. Auditor General Tim DeFoor had over 28,000 votes in the county with Malcolm Kenyatta picking up roughly 11,800 votes. And Stacy Garrity took the county for the state treasurer by roughly the same margin over Erin McClelland. Sunday, Defoor and Garrity won their respective positions in the statewide polling.
For the US Congress Race, incumbent candidates Guy Reschenthaler and Glenn G.T. Thompson took their respective races by wide margins in both Indiana County and across their districts.
The only other races on the ballot were unopposed races for State Senator Joe Pittman and State Representatives Jim Struzzi and Brian Smith.
All results are unofficial until the votes are certified, which is expected to take a little over a week.
