Voters hoping for a smooth start to Election Day were disappointed this morning as several areas in the six-county region reported issues with ballot machines.
As of 10 o’clock this morning, issues were reported at polling places in Cambria County and some portions of Pittsburgh. The exact cause of the issue is not known at this time, but members with the Cambria County Board of Elections deemed it as quote, “a software malfunction.”
We reached out to Indiana County Chief Clerk Robin Maryai, and she says no ballot machines in Indiana County have experienced this issue. Polls will remain open until 8 o’clock this evening. We will have election returns coverage on WCCS and on our WCCS Facebook page.
