As expected, the races for Pennsylvania’s House and Senate seats continue to be tight.
Republicans currently hold the lead in both races, with the Senate’s vote at 26-20 with four seats still to be called. With their total, Republicans will once again hold the majority in the Senate. Meanwhile, the House of Representatives is neck-and-neck, with Republicans up 96-94 with 13 seats left to be called.
State Representative Jim Struzzi said he expected tight races in both the House and Senate, so it’s still too early to pick who will win.
Senator Joe Pittman expects the Senate to repeat its 28-22 Republican hold, and he also thinks Dave McCormick will beat Bob Casey as Pennsylvania’s Senator, as McCormick leads by 54,281 votes.
Pittman said Republicans overcame Pennsylvania’s challenging landscape in the election.
All election results are unofficial until the votes are certified, which could be more than a week.
