State police are investigating a scam theft that happened in Conemaugh Township in late October. State police say that someone called an 83-year-old Saltsburg woman and used a grandparent scheme to steal $3500 in cash.
One person was hurt in a vehicle crash on Route 422 in Armstrong Township last Saturday. State police say the crash happened at 6:58 PM as Logan Smathers of Oak Ridge hit a deer with her car. The vehicle caught fire after impact. She was taken to IRMC for treatment.
