Indiana County’s flu cases increased by only five in the latest data from the state Health Department, to 23 for the season. Meanwhile, the number of cases reported in neighboring Westmoreland County increased by 23, to 94. Armstrong stayed at ten cases. Cambria County reported its first nine cases of the season, while neighboring Jefferson and Clearfield still have not reported any.
Allegheny County leads the state with 277 cases reported so far. Combined with its closest neighbor, Westmoreland, the total is 371. The southeast corner of the state, comprising Philadelphia and Montgomery, Delaware, and Bucks counties, has a combined 294.
