At last night’s meeting, Penns Manor Superintendent Daren Johnston announced that the Indiana County Technology Center received some grants for projects and classes at the facility.
Johnston announced that ICTC received $2.8 million in public school facility improvement grant money which will be used for a roof, HVAC and boiler project at the school. Another $388,000 grant was awarded to ICTC for the expansion of the welding programs that are running this school year. He said without those efforts, the sending districts would be responsible for those payments.
It was also announced that an Eagle project was completed for the district by Ryan Dugas. The project was the installation of benches in the courtyard of the district near the Gaga Ball pits. Dugas presented the board with a check of the leftover funds from the project, amounting to $478.56, which was earmarked to the Penns Manor Foundation.
