The Indiana County Republican Committee is looking for someone to be a county auditor and fill the unexpired term left by the appointment of Bonni Dunlap to County Commissioner.
Auditors serve as independent sources of verification for the taxpayers that all money due to the county is accounted for and that transactions are properly recorded. They will audit, settle and adjust the accounts of all county officers and county row offices. County auditors will perform a post-audit function, not an accounting function.
To fill the position, you must be a registered republican as by rule, the person filling the position must be the same political party as the one who left, and a registered elector of the county. After those interested submit cover letters and resumes, the Republican Party will recommend a name to the county Court of Common Pleas for final approval. When approved by the county judges, they will serve the remainder of the term, which is to the end of 2027.
If you are interested or have any questions, you can send an email to Republican Party Chair Randy Degenkolb at indianacountygop@gmail.com.
