The Christmas tree that will be used for celebrations in Indiana Borough will be delivered on today.
The Indiana County Tourist Bureau and the Christmas Tree Growers Association will transport the tree this morning from the former Emar Acres Farm in Saltsburg, to IRMC Park in Downtown Indiana. As that happens, IRMC Park, the area of North Seventh Street between Philadelphia Street and Nixon Avenue will be closed for the holiday season.
This year’s tree is a 30-foot Caanan Fir that was donated by Gregg Van Horn. After it is installed, it will be decorated throughout the week. The official tree lighting to be held on Friday, November 22nd at 6:30 as part of the kickoff to the It’s A Wonderful Life Holdiay Festival.
