The state Public Utility Commission will hold a conference today on the adequacy of Pennsylvania’s electrical resources. The meeting in Harrisburg will be livestreamed.
Representatives of the principles in the future of the electricity grid will examine topics on the correct mix of resources and how to get them online, how to facilitate the construction of new energy resources, and how the PUC can ensure that the grid can meet customer demand for electricity.
Among the panelists will be representatives of electricity generating companies, consumer and consortium members, government and regulatory agencies, and, importantly, PJM Interconnection, which operates the electricity grid of which Pennsylvania is a member, along with 12 other states and the District of Columbia.
It’s a conference that should be of particular interest in Indiana County, home to some of the state’s most important power generating stations. It gets underway at 9 AM. Visit this story on our website for the link to watch.
