A woman from Beyer was sentenced for multiple cases yesterday in Indiana County Court.
51-year-old Donna Ackerson was charged in 14 different cases, with most of them being identity theft, forgery and bad checks. She admitted guilt to both felony and misdemeanor offenses. All of the current batch of cases were filed against her between June and August of this year but some of the offenses occurred in the last several years.
All the sentences were ordered to run concurrently, meaning that she will serve between seven months and a day less than two years in county jail and three years of probation after her release.
Gordon Dunmire was also sentenced yesterday. The 61-year-old Indiana man pleaded guilty but mentally ill to a charge of endangering the welfare of a dependent person that went back to last year. He was ordered to serve nine to 23 months in Indiana County Jail but was paroled immediately.
