One person was hurt in a crash this morning on Route 56 in Center Township.
Indiana County 911 dispatched the Homer City fire department, state police and Citizens’ Ambulance around 10:30 this morning to Route 56 between Coy’s Pizza and Brush Valley. Homer City Assistant Fire Chief Joe Iezzi, Jr. described the scene.
The driver of the coal truck was not hurt, but the SUV driver was taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center for treatment of moderate upper body injuries. The road was closed for at least an hour due to the road conditions.
