VAUGHN LEE McGAUGHEY, 90

Vaughn Lee McGaughey, 90, passed away on November 29, 2024, at the home he built over fifty years ago. He was the son of the late Carl and Anna (Neal) McGaughey and was born on February 2, 1934.

In addition to his parents, his grandson, Carl Anderson, preceded him in death.

Vaughn is survived by his wife, Naomi (Patterson) McGaughey; his children, Connie McGaughey DeGastro (Albert), Dunedin, FL and Norman McGaughey (Shelly Kosmack), Frederick, Maryland. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Kyle Anderson, Sean McGaughey, and Taylor Nardi, and his four great-grandchildren, Caleb Anderson, Channing Anderson, Elena Anderson and Reece Anderson. His sister, Wanda Benning, Florida, also survives him.

Vaughn was a long-time employee of FMC. In his spare time, he enjoyed building and remodeling houses. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, fishing and was a member of the Lick Run Rod and Gun Club. Vaughn loved teaching his children and grandchildren mechanic and handyman skills and enjoyed traveling with family. Vaughn was an avid football fan and a fifty year Steelers season ticket holder.

A private funeral service was held at Bowser Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Homer City. Vaughn will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery.
