What a way to kick off the Major League Winter Meetings, with a number of free agent moves including the largest contract in sports history.
As the Winter Meetings begin in Dallas, Texas, there is plenty of Hot Stove action:
– Slugger Juan Soto leaves the Yankees for the Mets, agreeing to the largest sports contract in pro sports history, 15 years and $765 million with the chance to go over $800 million if he chooses not to exercise a five-year opt out.
– The Dodgers have agreed to deals with outfielder Michael Conforto and reliever Blake Treinen.
– The Giants have signed former Brewers star shortstop Willy Adames.
