At yesterday’s Council of Trustees meeting, IUP President Michael Driscoll said that the university will need to think outside the box when it comes to delivering education to the students.
In his remarks, Driscoll said that he has been comparing the university to Taco Bell in a positive light. He said that the fast food company has been able to take a few basic ingredients and present them in different ways and in different packaging to appeal to the public. By comparison, IUP has the ingredients to a good education…
He said that the university must also continue to evolve in ways to attract future students.
Driscoll also mentioned in his remarks that the State System Board of Governors has requested a 6.5% budget increase for the 2025 budget. He said that will help keep attendance costs low and prevent any raises in the cost of tuition.
