For the 85th time this year, a brush fire was reported by Indiana County 911 officials.
The call went out at 1:17 this morning for a property on Old Farm Lane in Burrell Township. Black Lick and Blairsville Fire Departments were dispatched at the time. Details on the fire have not been released.
That was one of four calls for service over the last 24 hours. The first was at 1:30 as Commodore fire crews were called to assist a medic unit at a property along Greenwich Road in Green Township. At 6:41 PM, Clyde and Armagh Fire Departments were dispatched to a vehicle accident on Route 259 in West Wheatfield Township. Citizen’s Ambulance and State Police were also called to the scene.
And Indiana Firefighters were called for a smoke investigation at 7:36 PM along Gompers Avenue in Indiana Borough.
