While we’re getting ready to celebrate Christmas, State Police are starting to prepare for the 2025 edition of Camp Cadet next summer.
Troopers announced on Thursday that the Camp Cadet program will return to Camp Seph Mack in Penn Run from Sunday, July 20th to Saturday, July 26th. The camp is an opportunity for youth ages 13 to 15 who reside or attend school in Indiana County to attend a week-long overnight camp that focuses on careers in law enforcement, military, criminal justice and related fields. Various experts will make presentations to the cadets by many different individuals including the Indiana County District Attorney, a district judge, the PA National Guard, LifeFlight and others. Cadets will be challenged both physically and mentally through the week while engaging in team building exercises, develop self-confidence and explore law-enforcement-related fields.
Camp Cadet is not a recreational camp, nor is it a disciplinary camp for trouble youth.
Applications are available through the State Police barracks in Indiana or online at www.indianacountycampcadet.org.
