The US Customs and Border Protection Agency has announced that they seized over 20,000 counterfeit Pennsylvania inspection stickers.
The stickers came from Israel and were bound for Philadelphia. Customs officials say that they arrived in two different shipments, one on November 26th and the other on December 9th. They did not say who sent the stickers, who was to receive them, or what purpose they would serve. If the stickers were real, they would have a value of $1.4 million.
No arrests have been made as of yet. Officials say that if a fake sticker is used, the punishment could result in a $500 fine and time in jail.
