The Pennsylvania Department of Health says the number of flu cases in the state continues to increase at a rapid pace.
Across the state, 34,031 flu cases have been reported as of January 4th, reporting a jump of 11,372 cases over the week. Also seeing a spike is the number of flu-related deaths in Pennsylvania, that number going from 21 to 32.
RSV cases have also seen a dramatic increase as 20,087 lab confirmed cases were reported in the season so far.
For Indiana County, Indiana County has had 89 cases of lab-confirmed flu reported, a jump of 21 from the week before. 11 cases of RSV have been reported in Indiana County, marking an increase of five cases over the week.
