An Indiana County school district will receive a share of Farm Bill Grant funds, awarded by the Shapiro Administration earlier this week.
Dept. of Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding said on Monday that the United School District will receive $7,124 that will go towards upgrading their outdoor classroom and sensory garden boxes. This is part of more than $500,000 awarded to 58 organizations in 29 counties across the state to fund projects that will empower youth to succeed in Pennsylvania’s $132.5 million agricultural industry.
The announcement came during the first day of the PA Farm Show in Harrisburg.
