The same day that Indiana School District issued a letter concerning a cyber security incident concerning PowerSchool, United’s superintendent also notified parents of the cyber security breach.
The letter from United Superintendent Dr. Richard Lucas said that PowerSchool is widely used for managing staff and student information across the United States. He confirmed that PowerSchool is working with a nationally recognized forensic cyber security firm to address the problem. Lucas also asked for the community to exercise some extra patience as the investigation goes on.
PowerSchool is expected to release more information to the district, which will then be released to teachers, families and other stakeholders.
