The Penns Manor School Board last night approved a good report card for Superintendent Daren Johnston.
The board approved the annual superintendent’s evaluation that was performed last month. The evaluation covers seven different factors in job performance, and after compiling the scores, gave Johnston a “proficient” rating. He said he was honored with the remarks made by the board in his evaluation.
The board also approved an application for the New Home Construction Tax Abatement program for a home on Hood School Road. Johnston said it is a program that gives new home builders a chance to be relieved of property taxes for a period of time.
The program was renewed a few months ago, and he says they usually receive 3-4 applications a year.
