The Pennsylvania Game Commission has given preliminary approval to the hunting and trapping season dates for 2025-26 along with bag limits.
The preliminary dates are the same to those that were in place for the 2024-25 season, with only one change concerning snowshoe hares, where a limit of three hares per hunter has been proposed. The limit had been six.
If approved, deer season would start the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 29th and run through December 13th. However, there is a bill that is coming up for approval in the state house that would permanently change the first day of Deer Season to the Monday after Thanksgiving.
Final approval is set to come at the next Game Commission meeting in April. The proposed list can be found at the link below.
