The Pirates are reportedly bringing back Adam Frazier on a one-year deal, according to MLB insider Jon Heyman.
Frazier played five-and-a-half seasons in Pittsburgh before being traded to San Diego at the 2021 Trade Deadline. Since then, he’s bounced around teams, playing for Seattle, Baltimore, and, more recently, Kansas City, where he hit .202 with four home runs and 22 RBI in 104 games.
In his final year with the Pirates, Frazier was named to the NL All-Star team after hitting .324 in 98 games.
Frazier can serve as a utility player, playing infield and outfield. He will likely compete for the second base position with Nick Gonzales and Nick Yorke.
