A Homer City woman was charged with DUI following a crash Sunday morning in Loyalhanna Township, Westmoreland County.
State police from the Kiski Valley barracks responded to a one-vehicle crash around 6:14 a.m. along Dogwood Drive. Troopers say a car driven by 21-year-old Skyler Lutman drove into a ditch on the northbound side of the road and became stuck in the mud, resulting in minor damage to the bumper.
They add Lutman was under the influence of alcohol at the time and a breathalyzer showed her blood alcohol content was .17. She was taken into custody, processed and later released to a sober adult.
Charges of DUI, reckless driving, careless driving, and summary traffic violations were filed through Westmoreland County Judge Jason Buczak’s office.
