A farm and agriculture retailer has taken a major step towards opening at the Indiana Mall.
Yesterday, developers submitted a final site plan for Rural King to the White Township planning commission at a review meeting. The store will go in at the former Kmart location in the Indiana Mall. Normally, a final site plan would not be necessary for a business to go into the mall, but township officials say that the plan was necessary as they wish to expand on the Oakland Avenue side of the mall by adding a 900 square foot vestibule entrance, outdoor sales area and propane filling station on the Oakland Avenue side of the mall.
Mall manager Sherry Renosky said the progress is good news.
The final site plan will be up for approval by the township planning commission next Tuesday.
