Congressman Guy Reschenthaler will once again co-chair the U.S. House’s Appalachian Caucus.
He will be joined once again by Congresswoman Carol Miller, a Republican from West Virginia. The two joined on various pieces of legislation in the last congressional session that supported the Appalachian region, including the Methane Reduction and Economic Growth act and the completion of the Mountain Valley Pipeline through the Fiscal Responsibility Act.
In a statement, Reschenthaler said that the region has long been overlooked by the federal government, so he will fight to, “restore the American Dream to the region and unleash our vast energy resources which power our nation.” He and Miller said that the caucus supports policies including domestic energy production and access to transportation, healthcare and broadband.
