A Homer City man was arrested in Jefferson County on Thursday after setting up a sexual encounter with someone he thought was a teenager.
Police in Brookville arrested 27-year-old Todd Yarnell, Jr. at a convenience store near I-80. In late January, officers said that he began communicating with members of the online group “814 Pred Hunters” who passed themselves off as a 15-year-old girl. Officers said that Yarnell shared several sexual messages with the “teen” and allegedly tried to meet the teen in Brookville for sex.
Court documents show Yarnell is charged with statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a minor, aggravated indecent assault of a minor, corruption of minors and criminal use of a communication facility, all felonies, along with misdemeanor indecent assault of someone under 16 and a summary driving charge. He is now in Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail. A preliminary hearing has not been scheduled.
