Four Indiana County school boards are scheduled to meet this week.
The Indiana Area and Purchase Line school boards will both meet tomorrow.
Indiana Area will vote on the 2025-26 school calendar. Other actions include a vote on the ARIN budget, with Indiana’s share being $158, 9554; a motion to accept the resignation of director of education Justin Zahorchak, who will be taking up other employment; and a motion to approve the hiring of another individual as either assistant superintendent or director of education.
Purchase Line’s school board will deal with about two dozen district policies on which they have been working. The board will also vote on approval of the district’s Comprehensive Plan, covering July 1st of this year through June 30th of 2028; the school calendar for the next school year; and a slate of proposed “College in the High School” courses.
Other county school boards scheduled to meet this week are United on Tuesday and Penns Manor on Wednesday.
