Monday night, the Indiana School Board hired a new assistant superintendent to take over the duties of the departing director of education.
Sean Gildea is the current superintendent of Glendale School District in Cambria County and has over 24 years of administrative experience in various school districts. Superintendent Rob Heinrich was excited about the hire.
Gildea was one of 22 applicants and three finalists for the job. He will assume the duties of Justin Zahorchak, who is resigning to take a position elsewhere. He will start as soon as April upon the completion or release from his current contract.
The board also approved the ARIN operating budget of $3,900,426, with Indiana’s share at $158,954, which holds steady from last year.
