Pennsylvania is one of several states that are part of a recall on canned tuna.
The FDA is recalling canned tuna products made by Tri-Union Seafoods from multiple major grocery chains, including Walmart, Trader Joe’s, Kroger and Costco. Officials say they found a manufacturing defect involving the can’s seal that could allow the tuna to be contaminated with a neurotoxin that may lead to a fatal form of food poisoning.
It’s unknown if Walmart stores in Indiana or Blairsville have been affected, but customers are warned not to use these products, even if they don’t appear or smell spoiled. More specific details can be found on the FDA’s website.
