Iselin-West Lebanon Fire Department has received grant money that will help them purchase some much-needed equipment.
The $12,448.81 allocation will come from the Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services Grant Program administered by the PA Office of the Fire Commissioner. The money can be used for updates to facilities, equipment purchases, reducing debt, training and education, and recruitment and retention. The grants are available to all fire companies, emergency medical services and volunteer rescue squads. To maintain eligibility, the organization has to submit incident reports on a monthly basis.
Officials with the Iselin-West Lebanon fire department say they will use the money to purchase a used rescue vehicle.
