Westmoreland County Community College has named its new president.
Last night, the college’s board of trustees approved hiring Kristin Mallory as its new permanent president effective July 1st. She will be the fourth leader of the school over the last twelve months. Dr. Tuesday Stanley resigned in June of 2024. WCCC’s vice president of academic affairs Kristy Bishop took over the position on an interim basis until her recent departure for a job with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The current interim president is David Devier. Devier and Stanley will work with Mallory as she moves into her new position.
Mallory is currently the vice president for academic affairs at Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury, Maryland. She has knowledge of WCCC as she served on the accreditation team that visited the college two years ago. She was one of about 150 applicants for the job.
