The Purchase Line school board Monday night approved a roof replacement project at the high school building.
The contract with TMR Roofing, Inc., is for $135,950 and comes with a 30-year warranty. It will replace the part of the roof that covers the technology office. Superintendent Patricia Berezansky said the district tried repairing that part of the roof several times but the damage to it was greater than they expected.
In other business, the board approved a new ATHENA-based leadership course that will be available for the 2025-26 school year.
They also held a moment of silence for Robin Laney, a first-grade teacher who passed away unexpectedly last week. Berezansky said counseling services were offered to her colleagues and school counselors will be vigilant moving forward for anyone who may need additional help.
