Brush fires continue to plague our area. Since Thursday there have been thirteen wildfires to which Indiana County firefighters have responded, eight of them on Thursday, three more Friday, and two on Saturday.
Yesterday’s fires were along East Pike at around 7:30 AM and along School Road in Cherryhill Township just before 5 PM. County firefighters have been called to 31 brush fires this year so far.
Saturday’s fire calls also included two accidents, on Oakland Avenue at 4:13 PM, and on Arcadia Road in Montgomery Township at about 6:30 PM.
Five fire companies responded early this morning to a structure fire along Stonetown Road in Canoe Township.
