The Steelers yesterday reached a contract agreement with free agent defensive lineman Daniel Ekuale, who started 16 games last season for New England. He’s also played for Jacksonville and Cleveland.
On the quarterback front, there is still no word on whether or not Aaron Rodgers will sign with the three teams that have expressed interest in him (the Steelers, Giants, and Vikings) or if he will retire. And the Atlanta Falcons have given a $10 million bonus to Kirk Cousins, even though he is now the backup QB to Michale Penix. The Falcons had to commit to the bonus or risk losing Cousins, but they could still release or trade him if he waives his no-trade clause. Whatever their decision, they will owe him $27 million this year.
