Skenes will be one of six Major League players to wear a special gold MLB logo patch on the back of his jersey this season. MLB’s top award winners from the previous season get to wear the emblem. Skenes was rookie of the year in the National League. The other big award winners who will wear the patch are MVPs Shohei Ohtani and Aaron Judge, Cy Young winners Chris Sale and Tarik Skubal, and American League Rookie of the Year Luid Gil.
