The IUP women will play second-seeded Gannon tonight for the Atlantic Region championship at Edinboro. IUP advanced with wins over Fairmont State Friday night and top seed Edinboro on Saturday, while Gannon took out Fayetteville State and Seton Hill.
IUP split its season series with the Golden Knights, losing at the KCAC on January 8th, 61-54 but winning in Erie on February 8th, 73-66.
After Saturday’s win, coach Craig Carey said that ultimately winning comes down to how IUP plays the game.
The difference tonight could be Nyshae’ Weaver. She missed the January game with an injury. She scored 16 points with 12 rebounds in the February game.
We’re on the air tonight at 6:30 with tipoff scheduled for 7 o’clock on 92.5 FM U92.
