A New Derry man reported missing last month was found dead on Friday.
63-year-old John Dofollo was found in a tributary of the Conemaugh River just northwest of 599 Westinghouse Road at 11:30 Friday morning by a search and rescue team, according to Westmoreland County Coroner Tim Carson. His family reported him missing on February 6th after he left his home on February 2nd around 12:30 PM. His vehicle was found on February 5th in a gravel lot on the same road after his cell phone was pinged. He had left the phone in the car.
The cause and manner of Dofollo’s death remain under investigation, and State Police from the Kiski barracks are continuing to work the case. It is not considered suspicious.
