Some in Indiana County are still without electricity, but crews are working to restore power as quickly as possible.
As of this morning, 122 Penelec customers are still experiencing an outage connected with the storms on Sunday. 74 are in Burrell Township, 23 are in Center Township and 13 people are without power in Blairsville. There are also outages reported in Black Lick, Brush Valley and North Mahoning Townships. At the peak of the severe weather last weekend, 6200 Penelec customers in Indiana County were experiencing outages.
Things are better for REA Energy Cooperative members. No power outages are reported for Indiana County this morning. REA crews were assisted by teams from Vally Rural Electric Cooperative and Northwestern REC in restoring power. Nearly 7000 cooperative members were affected by the storms.
