BASEBALL
United walked off Marion Center 15-14 on a Ryan Felix line drive single for the game-winning RBI with two outs in the 7th. The Stingers scored 6 in the top of the 7th to tie the game 14-14. Felix had 3 hits and he and Connor Day each drove in 3 runs. Cam Rising had 3 hits for MC and Noah McCoy had 2, and they both drove in 4 runs. Connor Dar got the win for the Lions.
Conemaugh Township topped Homer-Center 7-5. Reed Conn had 2 doubles and drove in 3 runs for the Indians. Braden Dunn had 2 hits for the Wildcats.
Conemaugh Valley beat River Valley 6-2 behind 3 hits by Wes Smith. Sammy Yanits had 2 hits for the Panthers.
Cambria Heights pushed across a run in the bottom of the 6th to beat Penns Manor, 2-1. Noah Clawson and Anthony Swander each had a hit and an RBI for the Highlanders, who had only two hits.
A six-run 3rd inning led Portage to a 7-4 win over Purchase Line. Easton Slanoc had 2 hits and Jonah Irvin drove in 3 runs for the Mustangs. For the Red Dragons, Jacob Stein had 2 hits and 2 RBIs.
Northern Cambria beat West Shamokin, 5-2. Shane Gisler had 3 hits and drove in 3 runs for the Colts.
SOFTBALL
Marion Center routed United 21-0 in three innings. Tomorrow’s game against Northern Cambria has been moved to today at MC, and there will be a dedication ceremony for the late longtime coach of the Stingers, Ed Peterson, who passed away last July.
West Shamokin blitzed Northern Cambria 12-0. Bria McClafferty hit a home run and drove in 4 for the Wolves and Evie Grantz and Madi Keirn each had 2 hits and drove in 3.
Purchase Line beat Portage 15-0 in three innings. Brooklyn Walker and Rylee Mahaffey each homered and had 2 hits. Alorra Phillips had 2 hits and drove in 3 runs.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Plum beat Indiana, 8-6.
