The contract for the Armstrong Indiana Intermedia Unit’s new executive director was approved at a meeting on Tuesday.
The ARIN board in February approved promoting Dr. Matthew Curci to the position on a permanent basis. He served as interim director after the death of Dr. Brigette Matson in the fall of 2024. He comes from the Apollo-Ridge School District, where he served as superintendent, assistant superintendent and in several other positions. On Tuesday, the board approved his salary at $150,000 a year.
He will be the executive director designee until July 1st, and will officially hold the position for a four-year term starting on that day and ending June 30th, 2029.
