From the US National Weather Service
Low pressure will bring showers to the region later today and into Monday morning.
Thus far in March we have already seen more dry days for the Pittsburgh area (9) than we had across all of January and February (8 combined). The last month to feature more dry days than the first 3 weeks of March was November (10 for the whole month). We also had our longest stretch of dry weather: 6 days (3/9-3/14) since we saw 7 such days in a row late last October (10/24-10/30).
March is currently running at about 50% (1.15″/2.24″) of normal precipitation so far. Light rainfall this evening should help that but more widespread rain doesn’t look possible until perhaps next weekend.
