County Commissioner Mike Keith said the inspiration for the authority is because of many ambulance services closing due to lack of revenue, and that other ambulances have to fill the void left by those who close. He said that however the authority moves forward, the goal is to provide emergency services at an affordable cost for the county’s citizens.
