Two Indiana County road and bridge projects begin this week.
Work starts tomorrow on a $14.5 million project to repair the Route 422 Indiana Bypass in White Township. The contractor will be rehabilitating the road and bridge between the Parkwood Road and Route 119 exits, including guiderail upgrades and ramp work. An 11-foot lane restriction will be in place from April 7th through June 13th. The anticipated completion date for the project is December of this year.
PennDOT also says that the replacement of the Clarksburg Bridge will begin on Tuesday in Conemaugh Township. From April 7th through June 13th, Clarksburg Road will be closed between Hans Road and Tunnelton Road. The detour to get around the project area will utilize Saltsburg Road . It’s a $3.1 million job, with completion scheduled by the end of November.
