In a high-scoring affair on Saturday, Homer-Center jumped to a 9-0 lead over the first three innings, then scored three runs in the fifth and sixth to outdistance Penns Valley, 15-9. Nash Budner and Collin Dunn each had two hits, with Dunn driving in three runs and Budner two. Both Dom Shinko and Nate Turk also drove in two runs.
Homer-Center is 3-2, 2-2 in the Heritage Conference, and will play conference games at River Valley on Tuesday and at home against River Valley on Thursday.
