ONE BRUSH FIRE, TWO CALLS FOR UTILITY LINES DOWN REPORTED

The total number of brush fires for Indiana county this year is now up to 44 with one that was reported on Sunday.

That brush fire was reported at 8:21 PM along Route 422 in Armstrong Township.  The Elderton fire department was dispatched at the time.

Otherwise, Sunday was a relatively quiet day for first responders.  There were two calls for utility lines down: one along Old William Penn Highway in Burrell Township that brought out Black Lick and Blairsville fire companies at 11:35 AM and the other on Route 403 North in Cherryhill Township sent local firefighters out at 11:55 PM.
