He hasn’t signed with the Steelers yet but Aaron Rodgers seems to be closer to doing so after he worked out over the weekend with new Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf. Video of the throwing session at UCLA surfaced yesterday, showing Rodgers completing passes to Metcalf.

Tomlin held a 25-minute session with the media, fielding questions about his team and his role at the meetings, where he is a member of the competition committee. He said the “tush push” quarterback sneak play, which will be voted on by team owners this morning, is a safety concern. He also offered his thoughts on a proposal to reseed the playoffs, based not on a division championship but on overall record.

Tomlin also reflected on the Steelers’ five-game losing streak that ended last season, saying they proved only that the Steelers weren’t an elite team.
