Next month will be the 2025 primary elections, and the Pennsylvania Department of State is reminding voters of some important dates.
While the elections have no major federal races on the ballot this time, the elections will consist of several local positions ranging from borough council and township supervisor to school board director. Also on the ballot will be three row office races: County coroner, county treasurer and the register of wills/recorder of deeds/clerk of orphans’ court. On the state level, there will be races for state superior court and commonwealth court.
People are reminded that May 5th is the last day to register to vote in the primary election, and May 13th is the last day to apply for a mail-in ballot. The primary election is scheduled for May 20th from 7 AM to 8 PM. Those voting by mail are reminded to get the ballot in early as the deadline for mail in ballots is 8 PM on May 20th.
