Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman is asking the Trump Administration to let a rule allowing Medicare and Medicaid to cover high demand anti-obesity drugs move forward.
In an article for the New York Times, Fetterman revealed he is taking Mounjaro, one of the medications that would have been covered by the healthcare programs under a rule proposed by the Biden Administration. The Trump Administration announced last week that it would not finalize the rule, and Fetterman is asking them to reconsider. The Democrat says Mounjaro has made a “significant impact” on his overall health and believes expanding coverage of those medications would give “millions of Americans a real shot at healthier lives.”
