The Shapiro administration is preserving more of Pennsylvania’s farmland.
The Governor’s office says the state is investing close to $12 million to purchase the development rights of more than 3,000 acres on 29 farms across the commonwealth. They include several farms in Central and Western Pennsylvania that span hundreds of acres. These investments by state and local government ensure that Pennsylvania farmers will have the quality land they need to continue feeding families and supporting jobs and communities in the future.
Pennsylvania has now preserved more than 30,000 acres of farmland since the start of the Shapiro Administration.
